| Health & Insurance |
Before you come to Beijing, you need to make sure that you are in good health and that your insurance policy covers you during your stay in China. Safety is always a first concern.
· Health
First of all, one should be in good health before coming to Beijing. Visit your doctor for a check-up prior to departure. Do not wait until a few days before leaving for the check up; leave enough time for work to be done before leaving. Try to be well rested before the journey. Beijing is not the place to go for recovery.
No vaccines are required for China; however, consult your doctor, then make your own decision.
, You should make sure you are current on the normal vaccines: MMR (mumps, measles & rubella), DTP (diphtheria, tetanus, & peruses), and polio.
, The vaccine for hepatitis A (Havrix-A, effective for 10 years or more) is strongly recommended.
, The typhoid vaccine is recommended especially if you are coming in the spring semester.
Bring your prescription drugs with you. If you are currently on a medication, bring a supply with you. Be sure to pack needed medicine in your carryon luggage in case your checked in luggage is delayed. |

· Insurance
Medical and Emergency insurance is mandatory required. Make sure that policy covers you in China. If you need insurance many companies have special insurance for students studying abroad. Bring your insurance card with you at all times.
As an addition, China View Education Center will provide each participant an In-China emergency & medical insurance coverage during the EZChinese® program by a Chinese insurance institution.
